Guarantee's
Can You Really Guarantee SEO?
The phrase search engine optimization and the word
guarantee are synonymous within the Internet marketing
industry. Some say yes, some say no way, some just
aren't sure and sit on the fence. Read what we have to
say about guaranteeing SEO.
Guaranteed SEO
Does It Ethically Exist?
Yes it does. It exists more and more actually, as people
stop following the crowd and think for themselves. What
is a guarantee? Its a formal assurance that certain
conditions will be met. You are splitting hairs between
the difference of a guarantee, assurance or contract,
the contract being what you want regardless. So what are
people afraid of by offering a guarantee or accepting
one? Yes, you read that correctly. Some people within
this industry voice their obsession about not being able
or capable of providing a guarantee, thus people
actually reject some companies that do provide them.
Sounds like silly thinking to me. There is a real issue
behind this that will be discussed below my guarantee.
My SEO Guarantee "Assurance"
EWP Utilises Contracts, Providing Customers Documented
Assurance
We provide a simple, yet effective guarantee on our
services. We guarantee that:
•
•
•
•
•
•
•
•
We will meet our agreed goals, rankings and terms
discussed (Every customer is different)
You will retain a higher click through rate of
relevant traffic
We will do everything possible within my scope to
improve your conversion rate
We guarantee to comply to the search engines editorial
policies
We guarantee that no unethical practice will be
utilized
We guarantee to refund any labour charges if
contractual terms are not met
Please Note: Google is the only search engine that will
keep a constant result across its "web" index. Yahoo and
MSN change their "web" index results per region, so
those applicable guarantee's apply to a regional engine,
ie. Yahoo.com web results, or Yahoo.com.au web results
or Yahoo.co.uk web results, etc. Same applies to MSN
results. Simple, effective and provides an assurance to
customers that a certain condition will be met.
Guaranteed Search Engine Optimisation
Some Real Truths Behind The Rumours
You will find many SEO's that either go one way or the
other on providing a guarantee for search engine
rankings. Lets face reality here, anyone who guarantees
something like a #1 position or a specific position,
like #5, is being unrealistic. Top 10 or top 20
guarantee's are possible, and whilst some legitimate
people may provide that guarantee, you are not going to
pay $99 or even $1,000 for that. The cost will, in fact,
be fairly high to ensure the position is obtained. That
is the difference that you as a consumer and possible
customer of SEO must be aware of. I am not actually
saying that either is right, because I know people who
generally obtain front page rankings for nearly all key
terms for clients, though offer no guarantee as such.
These people work more on word of mouth than anything
else, similar to any business, including mine.
What you need to look for is the actual work being
performed and the guarantee being offered that really
makes the difference. If you find a service that says
something along the lines off, "Guaranteed #1 rankings
for 1000 highly optimized pages all for the low price of
$99 per month", then be very sceptical. If it sounds too
good to be true, it usually is. This looks like a poor
service scam and you would be wasting your money. If you
find an offer, where you're paying in the thousands
range, with a reasonable guarantee like #10 or #20,
improved click through, Return On Investment (ROI), then
you could reasonably expect not to find any fine print.
You could also have a reasonable expectation that the
services could be provided, as stated. To professionals,
it is more about the name than anything. Word of mouth
is a powerful thing, and delivering poor service will
damage your reputation.
So, to guarantee or not to guarantee really makes no
difference. Some just don't like to provide any
guarantee and still have many clients that are willing
to take the risk. That's all it is at the end of the
day- risk! You really have to approach a guarantee
within the SEO industry with caution. Look at what the
cost is and the guarantee at hand. If it sounds too good
to be true, chances are it is. If the price fits the
guarantee model, then your guarantee should be good as
gold. Ask questions, confirm and this way you have your
information complete. If a business does not disclose
something, like the fine print when you ask, then they
are actually at fault, not you. Ask questions, lots of
them, and use common sense.
